Our Power team is specialised in a wide range of electrical studies, high-voltage projects and electrical safety. The various software packages we use for this purpose are ALPI Caneco BT, SKM Powertools and Easypower. For this team, we are looking for a Power Engineer with a passion for engineering.

Projects from A-Z, this is how we do it!

At Contec we realize projects from A to Z. As a Power Engineer you will be involved in our current projects. You are responsible for the following matters, among others:

• You do short-circuit current calculations;
• You evaluate protective devices and electrical cabinets;
• You do cable calculations (load, voltage drop, indirect contact);
• You carry out motor start studies and selectivity studies;
• You do arc calculations (Arc Flash);
• You supervise projects according to the agreed scope and planning;
• You follow up projects according to customer specifications and legal standards;
• You compile the documents required to successfully complete the project at the various stages.

You always do all this in close collaboration with your project coordinator and your team.

Passion for automation? It’s you we’re looking for!

• You’ve obtained a bachelor’s/master’s degree in industrial engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Electromechanics, or you are equivalent through experience;
• Can work both autonomously and as part of a team;
• Proactive and logical approach to problem-solving;
• You have a drivers license;
• You speak and write English fluently;
• Knowledge of the following is beneficial:
  • Cable calculations
  • Selection of electrical components
  • Knowledge of legal standards and guidelines such as AREI, EN60204.1, etc.
  • MS Office, preferably including MS Access
  • Software packages: Caneco, SKM Powertools, Easypower
