For our MOM R&D team, we are currently looking for a Back-End Software Developer.

Projects from A-Z, this is how we do it!

At Contec, we realise projects from A to Z. Depending on the project, you will either work independently or as part of a team to realise the client's digitisation requirements. The assignments are often very different and versatile, so it is important that you are very interested in software development and getting to the bottom of industrial and administrative processes.

Some of your duties:

• You function as a software developer within a team where both front-end and back-end development takes place;
• You develop in a standardised way, extensions for Contec proprietary applications installed at the client's premises or custom applications for customers;
• You write concise clear documentation (detailed design) before you, or colleagues, program this software;
• Using best practices and coaching, you are able to guide colleagues and delegate tasks during software development. We strongly believe in knowledge sharing to take each other to a better level.

Passion for automation? It’s you we’re looking for!

• You have a higher degree focused on Computer Science (Electronics-ICT, Applied Computer Science,...) or are equivalent through experience;
• You have minimum 7 years of experience in developing backend and front-end applications and feel comfortable working on a project basis;
• You like variety and challenges;
• Knowledgeable of typical industrial operations related to production, quality, inventory/warehousing and maintenance, and how those operations translate into software solutions
• You are real team player and like to discuss issues with colleagues before you act;
• You think about projects in a problem-solving and proactive way;
• You are assertive, communicative and customer-oriented;
• You have a driver’s license;
• You speak and write Dutch and English fluently;
• Knowledge of these technologies is a requirement:
  • Microsoft SQL server and SQL dialect (T-SQL)
  • NET MVC
  • Entity Framework
  • C#
  • Git
  • Experience with software testing
