Software Engineer in Test Automation

Scope

As Software Engineer in Test Automation, you are a member of an Agile team and take part in the complete EVS software development and testing processes. You ensure the quality control of our software and hardware in embedded, back-end/front-end, data center or cloud systems/architectures, by describing, developing, and executing different tests and test scripts. You are focused on the testability, robustness, and performance of our products. You also ensure continuous integration using next-generation technologies and automation tools to maintain a highly scalable and reliable infrastructure. You are responsible for planning and executing automated functional and non-functional tests, reporting the test results, and validating the bug fixes. You contribute to the continuous improvement of all test activities assigned to the team.

Job Description

  • Design use cases according to the product requirements and specifications, using test strategies and technics
  • Build a test plan based on risk assessment and time constraints
  • Plan, develop and execute automated tests (functional and non-functional)
  • Setup, maintain and operate test automation frameworks (oriented back-end or front-end)
  • Ensure the follow-up of the product defects workflow and verify the product defect solutions and validate the bug fixes.
  • Document the test results, quality risks, and product usability in a clear structured way

Profile

  • Software Engineer in Test Automation (Junior / Senior)
  • Engineer, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, ICT, Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience
  • Knowledge of a programming language (Java, Javascript, Python, pytest, C#)
  • Basic Linux knowledge
  • Structured and rigorous
  • Result oriented and team player
  • Creative, pragmatic, solution-oriented
  • Quality driven
  • Able to execute tasks autonomously and get help whenever needed
  • Open for changes and continuous learning
  • Languages: Working knowledge in English
  • Knowledge in some of these specific areas is a plus: IP Network, Cloud, Datacenter, Broadcast or Video encoding
