System Engineer


As System Engineer, you take part in the complete EVS hardware and software integration. You will be actively involved in managing infrastructure and automation of testing processes.
As a member of an Agile team, you investigate performance issues on distributed systems developed by EVS and advice on their tuning and optimization. The team is managing the automation infrastructure as well as the automation implementations built on this infrastructure. You are focused on the testability, robustness, scalability, and performance of the products delivered.

Job Description

  • Provide technical support and consultation for live broadcasts products
  • Manage, monitor, and provide recommendations on the installed systems and infrastructure
  • Maintain hardware, operating systems, application software, and system management tools
  • Manage system and infrastructure availability
  • Develop and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time
  • Provide advanced-level technical consultation to resolve complex problems
  • Acquire and maintain a high level of industry knowledge for EVS relevant product offerings
  • Perform cross-functional roles with projects and R&D


  • Bachelor or Master degree in ICT, Computer Science, or equivalent degree/experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in proactively managing systems and related infrastructure
  • Advanced Linux knowledge
  • Experience with Docker and K8S.
  • Effective scripting capabilities: bash, ksh, Python
  • Mastering one of these distributed frameworks is an asset: Kafka, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Postgres
  • Experience with monitoring systems
  • Knowledge of network technology and security by design
  • Interest in emerging cloud-related technologies and evolutions

  • Strong troubleshooting skills (ranging from software configurations to hardware-related issues)
