Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone to steer, direct, support and ensure Compliance within the Lineas group

We are looking for someone who can support the challenging role of SHC to develop a quality minded, safety-oriented, healthy and disciplined culture.

We are looking for someone to be part of the Safety Health and certification team.

What are your duties?

  • You will follow up the legislation for the countries involved for the Lineas certificates.
  • You will capture all requirements (legislation, regulation, guidelines, conclusions of RA, …) regarding to quality, safety, health, environment & compliance)
  • You will analyze the impact and manage/support the system impact concerning the legislation of these countries, the European regulations in the strict sense and all information that is considered relevant quality, safety, health and compliance management.
  • You will report, advise and take the necessary actions in consultation to implement its consequences on a company level maintaining contacts with the relevant authorities in order to keep abreast of possible legislative developments.
  • You will make sure all changes in legislation are identified and all necessary changes communicated within the company to the involved departments
  • You will verify the follow up of the agreed adjustments into processes, procedures and instructions and the follow up of the implementation within the company.
  • You are the lead outside-in/inside-out contact Europe (ATTI, UIC, X-rail) with regard to quality, safety, health and certification
  • You follow the structure, the attendance, the preparation and the outcome of national and international meetings regarding railway or other relevant topics, you attend certain of these meetings to represent Lineas and delegate others to other meetings to keep abreast of possible legislative developments with the aim of anticipating the impact of this changing framework on the Lineas IMS.
  • You monitor compliance on railway safety and perform effectiveness checks.
  • You support the corporate team regarding legal requirements, to achieve and maintain certification, external and internal audits, mitigating measures, risk analysis, LIMS, severe accident investigation, radiation etc
  • You assist in external audits and participate actively in internal and partner audits
  • You will be in contact with different NSA’s for audits, questions, analysis, workgroups etc. And you will be in contact with other RU’s, IM, customers regarding railway safety
  • You will handle occurring safety, health & certification issues, you support the change management program and you will actively promote and ensure the implementation of this process
  • You ensure the compliance with prevailing standards, company rules and legislation and you will follow up on risk analyses to support the process
  • You will verify all necessary outcome will be made available before implementing the change fi: processes, instructions, training.
  • You perform effectiveness checks and you take mitigating measures if this is determined as necessary
  • You Ensure providing of expertise to internal and external departments such as stations, engineering, special transport, Lineas academy, legal, claims, assurance etc fi training; advice,…

What is your profile?

  • You have a Master degree with relevant experience in safety/quality/regulation or bachelor degree with sufficient experience.
  • You have Technical knowledge railway regulation
  • You are fluent in Dutch and/or French and have a good level of the other language and of English
  • You have ability to have impact on others
  • You keep the focus on the objectives to be achieved
  • You are well organized and able to prioritize in a context of changing priorities
  • You have good developed communication skills.
  • You are able to think at the same time strategical and take into account operational reality
  • You are pro-active, stress-resilient, pragmatic, result-oriented and flexible
  • You have analytical skills
  • You are able to deduce the global result based upon input from various stakeholders
  • You are eager to develop yourself and progress within Lineas.

  • You are open for limited European travel: max 5% of time.
