Compensation & Benefits Specialist

Mission:

The Compensation & Benefits specialist supports the Compensation & Benefits team in performing day to day Compensation & Benefits tasks and assists the team in various projects. The Compensation & Benefits specialist is also responsible for the monthly reporting of HR KPI’s and the control of the wages costs.

Key Result Areas:

  • Develops methods and tools to manage, integrate, control and report the HR-Financial information by integrating different information systems (payroll, Fuel card, Mobile Phone…) Prepare and contributes to the yearly Personnel Costs Budgets process.
  • Provides expertise for revision and development of policies regarding benefits and entitlements such as pension benefits, staff travel, allowances, etc..
  • Contact person for other departments within the company concerning financial controlling of the personnel costs and group insurances.
  • Provides day to day support to the Compensation & Benefits team and the HR Business Partners with regard to specific C&B issues, including solving and pursuing complex problems connected with personnel files (including non-residents). Provides answers to specific questions formulated by the business partners (e.g. absenteeism analysis for a specific group, salary cost for a function or a group of functions, risk analysis for turnover costs,…).
  • Acts as a specialist with regard to the flexible reward plan, assisting employees with specific general and (para-)fiscal questions on the flexible reward plan (‘cafetariaplan’) and offering support with regard to the plan’s administration. 

Profile: 

  • Bachelor or Master Degree
  • 3 to 5 years of experience within payroll administration and/or HR business partnering with profound knowledge in remuneration
  • Thorough knowledge of, amongst others, pension plans, hospitalization insurance, benchmarking, position advancement, payroll, social law
  • Accurate
  • Analytical skills
  • Number minded
  • Team oriented
  • Business Objects Reporting Tool
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Excel (formulas, pivot table, macro’s, control toolbox,…)
