Marketing Expert

Mission: 

  • Support the rollout of the global marketing strategy and campaigns across Brussels Airlines Global markets (Europe & North America) & Lufthansa Group Sub-Sahara African markets.
  • Coordinate the relationship with local marketing experts to strengthen and modernize local marketing, funnel approach and media buying, both centrally in the Africa Competence Center as well as in the local markets.
  • Assist with agencies management and budget follow-up.
  • Prioritize and coordinate local marketing initiatives, while ensuring to be on-brand, within budget and delivering the right ROI.

Key Result Areas: 

  1. Marketing development in the local markets + global coordination
  • Balance global consistency and local relevance: ensure that the global marketing campaigns are consistently applied across markets, while insuring relevance and connection to the local audiences.
  • Become a market expert: develop deep knowledge of all the markets and gain insights into target audiences’ attitudes and behaviours
  • Contribute to define countries segmentation model in order to maximize the marketing ROI and growth of our local business: understand and define cultural, economic and social trends and their impact on consumer attitudes, behaviour and perceptions + competition analysis.
  • Coordinate local marketing initiatives with the markets (partnerships, events, campaigns etc.), while ensuring to be on-brand, within budget and deliver the right ROI.
  1. Campaigns, medias planning & creation
  • Along with the global manager: develop, launch and follow up global & local marketing campaigns including off and online medias when applicable.
  • Coordinate medias agency: media buying, media planning & KPI’s definition.
  • Coordinate creative agencies: creative briefings, creative development and content production.
  1. B2B & B2C alignment
  • Assist your management to develop a clear B2B marketing strategy + action plan and implement the right messages in the available B2B communication tools in alignment with the relevant Lufthansa Group departments.
  • Coordinate & animate the marketing expert community in the local markets to set up marketing processes, strengthen and modernize local marketing, funnel approach and media buying.

This position reports to Senior Global Markets Manager.

Profile:

  • University Master degree in Marketing, Economics or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing on international level
  • Languages: Fluent English, written and spoken.
  • Customer centric, innovative and creative thinking
  • Proven success at managing markets activation
  • Strong planning & project management skills
  • Strong communications skills
  • Ability to work in a virtual & international environment
  • Open-minded, ‘the world is my home’
  • Strong affinity with travel and knowledge of Sub-Sahara Africa.
