Who are we looking for?
Someone to design, cost, introduce and industrialize the regional rail solution (components) according the (customer) E2E product requirements and matching the SLA expectations.

Someone to steer local product concepts to massification and optimisation opportunities to secure the best local resource productivity, the E2E product robustness and best cost to serve, taking as input the Lineas production and partner capabilities

Someone to lead the needed re-engineering efforts within the concerned production area.when product performance is below quality targets

Someone accountable to translate the E2E product documentation to work instructions for the related production areas and to align production area concept

Someone who is part of the Lineas Infra Community and enhance collaboration and alignment between the different central and local Lineas departments working with the Rail Infrastructure Managers

Someone to translate Lineas’s European End-To-End view in the regional approach to seize the infra opportunities and pro-actively handle threats.

What are your duties?

  • New product design (NPD): You design, propose and cost a robust regional product component or concept to match the (customer) product requirements, tender/quote deadlines and related SLA taking in account the production capabilities of our production areas, infrastructure, rolling assets and partners. This includes customer siding delivery and pickup concepts and marshalling/shunting yard concepts.
  • New product introduction (NPI): as local project coordinator you introduce and industrialize in an agile way on time new products taking into account the execution capability of all related local stakeholders.
  • You secure the needed product documentation, stakeholder alignment and the needed digital integration in our production tools. During the first weeks of operations you follow up the product performance in hyper-care mode till stable operations and hand over to the operational team.
  • You re-engineer the regional product for inter- or intra production plant products: When product quality performance is structurally below quality threshold and listed for stabilization need, you lead a root-cause investigation, action plan and product re-engineering track to improve product performance together with the related stakeholders.
  • You work closely and in sync with the network engineers in your operation areas to combine local proximity and experience with E2E design and product robustness.
  • You are the expert point within your local production area for the regional interfaces towards the infrastructure managers and allocating bodies of your region, you develop and support regional infra contingency processes and approaches in your region to minimize financial and operational impact on the Lineas business activities.
  • You represent Lineas in regional infrastructure capacity councils and projects and makes sure possible impacts are known and taken into account by Lineas local production activities but also within the central organisation.
  • You translate changes in local infra protocols into clear working instructions and documents for production in your production area
  • You evaluate the impact of local infra works on our E2E products & manage a two-way communication towards local infra manager & our internal engineering and supply chain organization in order to assure a contingency plan that guarantees continuous end-to-end quality of our products
  • You manage local connection plans and timeslots with customers, partners in the supply chain and take care of the configuration of the main production standards in our ERP-system (CIS)
  • You are the Infra capacity & capability expert for the assigned areas and maintain and the develop the needed local infra capacity booking processes and tools.
  • You act a satellite from ICM and work closely and fully in sync with the ICM corridor Manager in your operation areas to combine local proximity and experience with E2E Account Management to align with the Lineas’ strategy.
  • You set up, influence and manage communication and alignment structures within the Lineas production areas that interact with the infrastructure managers.
  • You actively follow up the performance, cost and efficiency of the regional Infrastructure and initiate & manage improvement initiatives.

What is your profile?

  • You have a Master or Bachelor degree in logistics, supply chain, engineering or applied economics with relevant professional experience in rail.
  • You are fluent in English with a good level of Dutch and French (German and other EU language is a plus)
  • You have a previous work experience in a supply chain engineering or senior planning role with rail component.
  • You have proven knowledge in regional rail operations
  • You have demonstrated experience in a project lead context and ability to think at the same time strategically and take into account operational reality.
  • You are able to interpret and present product performance data, facilitate root-cause analysis (for example 5W) and set-up re-engineering track
  • You are organized, pro-active, stress-resilient, pragmatic, flexible, result-oriented and able to prioritize in a context of changing priorities
  • You have good communication skills you like to work with other people and you are capable to steer production area teams
  • You have an eye for details and the ability to think out of the box
  • You are willing to travel between different production areas on regular base.
