Crew controlling teamleader


The Crew controlling Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day management of crew activities related to the flight production plan. He/she coordinates the work of a team of Crew Watch Officers, and is responsible for the training and coaching of the members of his/her team. He/she assures that all crew tracking and aircraft manning activities are in compliance with the current rules and regulations, collective labour agreements, or any operational directives.


Key result area 1 team management

  • Manage the Crew Watch department, assuring all flights remain properly crewed in compliance with current rules and regulations, collective labor agreements, or any operational directives.
  • Manage and coach all personnel assigned to tasks in the crew watch
  • Responsible for recurrent training and coaching of both new and existing Crew Watch Officers

Key result area 2 continuous improvement

  • Provide functional expertise to drive continuous process improvement within the Crew Watch department, and formulate recommendations to the Crew Scheduling department.
  • Evaluate internal policies and ways of working, and identify potential problem areas allowing for a timely dissemination of information and/or formulation of efficiency improvement.

Key result area 3 reporting and communication

  • Represent Crew Watch in the departmental crew resource meetings.
  • Represent Crew watch in the FSAG
  • Ensure a proper daily reporting of all changes to duty rosters or any types of irregularities.
  • Ensure continuous communication flow from Crew Watch to other involved departments in case of time critical planning change or activity.

Participate in the Crew Watch Officer duties.


  • Bachelor or equivalent by experience
  • Relevant experience required for the job
  • Able to lead under natural authority and in possession and good people management skills
  • Good analytical skills, problem solver, able to work under time pressure;
  • Good communication and reporting skills;
  • Knowledge of EU OPS regulations and crew resource management tools (e.g. BlueOne)
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Fluent in Dutch, French, English
