Who are we looking for? The Continuous Improvement Lead Ops BE contributes to the realization of corporate objectives of the operational excellence program defined by the Lineas Production System. The focus of the function is on the E2E Operations activities, which include, but are not limited to Local Operations

He/she will do this by:

  • Designing, implementing and monitoring the usage of an “Operational Performance Management System” (OPMS). This OPMS defines the different levels of planning, reporting and review meetings and their interdependencies. Together they enable the business to perform and effective “PDCA” cycle at each level in the organization
  • Identify and build the required Hard and Soft skills in the organization for people to be capable and comfortable in performing Continuous improvement project.
  • Identify, together with the business areas for improvement and prioritize and manage the improvement pipeline
  • Leading more complex Continuous Improvement initiatives and participate in improvement projects that are part of the central project portfolio

 

What are your duties?

Identify, prioritize and execute improvement initiatives in line with the LPS portfolio mgt methodology

  • Identify together with the business area’s for improvement, the improvement potential and translate them in to well defined improvement projects
  • Facilitate the process to prioritize the improvement initiatives
  • Lead complex improvement initiatives that require specialist CI knowledge and/or coordination between different departments (eg Kaizen events)
  • Assist the project mgt team with the local implementation of improvement projects that are part of the overall portfolio
  • Monitor the progress of the improvement initiatives against plan
  • Set up a benefit tracking for the improvement initiatives and monitor the benefit realisation

Operational Performance Management System

  • Define, review and implement an “Operational Performance Management System” within Operations
  • Define and implement KPI’s / reporting to monitor performance of operational processes
  • Define, implement and coach Operational performance dialogues
  • Monitor and steer the maturity of the “Operational Performance Management System”

Build Soft and Hard Skills

  • Build, document and promote a standard CI toolkit that be used “off the shelf” by Operations
  • Develop and facilitate training sessions to enhance CI Hard skills (structured problem solving, data analysis, Poka Yoke, KPI’s, …)
  • Develop and facilitate training sessions to build CI Soft skills (effective meetings, workshop facilitation, dealing with resistance to change, conflict mgt, effective influencing, give and receive feedback…)
  • Provide coaching in the field eg OPMS meetings, Problem solving workshops, …

Create a CI culture and celebrate success

  • Define and implement a communication strategy to share CI achievements and best practice
  • Contribute content for CI communications and represent LPS for CI related presentations

 

What is your profile?

  • You have a Master degree or equivalent by experience
  • You have experience in Lean & Six Sigma Green Belt certification (CI Lead) or Lean & Six Sigma (Master) Black Belt certification (Sr CI Lead)
  • You are bi-Lingual (NED/FR)
