Quality Projects Manager

Your role :

The Quality Projects Manager will be a driver of the Product Leadership Culture within our business unit Frozen. This person will work in close collaboration with the Q2+ Process Assurance Manager, the Group Reliability & Equipment Project Manager and IT, to drive and achieve a fully integrated Quality Improvement process with next goals :

Redefine and optimize Q1 quality control processes and reporting for finished products (eg. Baguettes, Kaiser rolls, bread, pastry) in our production plants :

  • Challenge the current QC process of finished products and bring it closer to the floor in a pro-active way
  • Digitalization and automation of Q1 & certain Q2 parameters (weight, dimensions, incisions,…) in Objective
  • Good and uniform reporting tools in Power BI, with out-of-control actions
  • Analysis of data over lines and sites
  • Ensure that the data brings awareness into the plants
  • Follow up of the action plans

Redefine and optimize the Q2 score card analysis and Q2(+) performance indicators :

  • Develop score cards, in cooperation with NPD & marketing
  • Define solid KPI for quality performance of the plants
  • Certification of score card experts
  • Set-up of a (digital) Q2(+) evaluation system, in cooperation with sales department
  • Ensure awareness in the plant & sales organizations
  • Follow up of the action plans

Optimize and publish the Quality Control and Quality Assurance Dashboard (complaints, blocked pallets, top 5 main issues, foreign objects…) :

  • Analysis of the data, set up of trends, follow-up KPI’s
  • Critical evaluation / auditing in every site
  • Automation metal detection to prevent foreign bodies
  • Follow-up action plans (e.g. foreign objects prevention) with local teams

In this role you report to the Group Quality Manager and there are no direct reports.

Your profile :

  • Quality Manager or Master degree in food technology/nutrition, with min. 5 years of experience in Quality Management
  • Dynamic, result-driven but above all hands-on person
  • Strong in conceptual thinking combined with an analytical approach
  • Social person, gaining respect from local teams and relationship - builder
  • Taking responsibility in change management
  • Willing to travel 50% of the time (mainly Eastern-Europe)
  • Fluent in English
