XEDIS: Business Service Management Consultant

Xedis, a leading management consulting company in Belgium, is looking for a Management Consultant to lead and participate in Xedis projects as a Business Service Management (BSM) Consultant. BSM projects will transform our customers into digital, service oriented organizations where outstanding services and exceeding customer expectations drive the organization.

The Management Consultant we are looking for has profound experience in IT Service Management (ITSM) or Service Management in general. This experience has been acquired either as a consultant or built up via an ‘operational’ role like a Service Delivery Manager for instance. It is also important that the candidate can translate business challenges into concrete solutions in terms of improved processes, governance, technology and people. Finally, we need colleagues who have a solid educational background but who equally have practical experience in the field.

As a Management Consultant you will join our BSM Competence Center. With your colleagues you share experiences and good practices applied at the clients’ side. Experience is translated into solutions that might help out other customers in the future as well. You take a proactive stance on both solution and business development to help grow the Xedis BSM business.

The ideal candidate has the following background and capabilities:

  • Education
    • Master degree in economics, business management, IT management or equal by experience (10+ years in a similar role)
    • Having professional certifications in practices like ITILv3, Prince2 or PMP, ADKAR or BPMN is considered a plus
  • Language skills
    • Fluent in Dutch, English and French
  • Soft skills
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both at C-level, tactical and operational level
    • Team player but able to work autonomously
    • Demonstrate strong leadership and able to work under pressure
    • Possesses problem solving capability
  • Experience
    • 5y+ Experience in (management) consultancy, ideally at the boundary of business and IT on strategic and tactical level
    • 5y+ Experience in project, program or portfolio management
    • 5y+ Experience in a service management role, for instance in a client-supplier relationship
    • 5y+ Experience in transformation management / managing change within large organizations (>500 employees)
    • 5y+ Experience in process analysis & optimization (business and/or IT)
    • Experience in coaching & training is considered a plus
    • Experience in people management is considered a plus
  • Role
    • Active participation in the Xedis BSM Competence Center
    • Leading initiatives within organizations in which a transformation towards a service and customer oriented organization is the ultimate goal
    • Coaching management (C-level and middle management)
    • Convincing organizations (all levels) towards a new way of working
    • Designing and implementing an Operating Model containing people, processes, technology and governance to evolve towards a digital, service oriented company
    • Execute ad interim certain roles within the Operating Model (e.g. Service Delivery Manager)
    • Complement the Program/Project manager as a subject matter expert
