LBC Tank Terminals is one of the world's largest global operators of bulk liquid storage facilities for chemical and oil products.

We own and operate a global network of terminals with a combined storage capacity of close to 3 million m3 at key locations in Europe, USA and China.

LBC is expanding its capacity and network, through build-out at existing locations and through acquisitions, joint ventures and greenfield developments.


During an in-house training, you will learn to know the Rotterdam Terminal infrastructure and organization inside-out. Also training sessions on the other ARA Terminals are on the menu. After this initial training of 2 to 3 months, you will become the spider-in-the-web by liaising internally the different internal departments with our valuable customers of LBC Rotterdam during the different implementation phases of the Rainbow project where interferences to the service delivery towards our customers can be expected. This phase of the training will allow you to establish an internal network and learn the way of working of the terminal business, our customers but also the internal LBC organisation.

After a period of approx. 12 months, you will become responsible for commercial sales activities related to the storage and handling of chemicals at LBC terminal in Rotterdam in close cooperation with the Sr. Sales Manager of Rotterdam. Main task will be to manage the current customer portfolio to the satisfaction of our esteemed customers by developing a long-term commercial relationship with key-accounts and to optimize our contract portfolio to safeguard the profitability of our Rotterdam site.

Also you will support the current LBC Rotterdam Sr. Sales Manager by active contribution to the ambitious growth plan in Rotterdam by seeking new business opportunities, searching for new markets and customers and expansion of your commercial network. Secondly you will support the LBC ARA Sales Team by active contribution to the ambitious growth plan in ARA. You report to the Sr. Sales Manager Rotterdam.


Key accountabilities To develop and maintains long-term commercial relationships with (key) accounts attributed to the Jr Sales Manager. You are responsible for:

    • Managing the attributed contract portfolio;
    • Developing a yearly sales plan and budget for your customer portfolio;
    • Continuous Improvement of the customer satisfaction;
    • Optimization and profitability of the current contract base;
    • The Sales end-to-end process:
      • Collects, analyzes and reports relevant market and customer information.
      • Prepares offers based on complete data information necessary to prepare a quotation.
      • Negotiates and finalizes contracts.
      • Organizes and optimizes the administrative processes concerning offers, contracts and related correspondence.
      • Ensures correct handover of contracts to the Sales Support.
      • Ensures that invoices will get paid in time.
      • Is responsible for on time extension/renewal of existing contracts, renewal of rates/service offerings.
    • Developing a yearly sales plan and budget for your customer portfolio;
    • Exploring, initiate and managing projects that create new market opportunities and result in profitable business growth;
  • Fully complies with LBC’s policy and guidelines particularly HSSE-Q.


  • You are a Master graduate with a degree in chemical engineering/logistics/economics and/or MBA graduate.
  • Ideally you have already a first job experience in Tank Storage environment (storage terminal, surveyor) or petroleum, chemical, logistics or shipping industry or related industry with a proven track record. Understanding of the tank storage business is a prerequisite.
  • Fluent Dutch and English is compulsory. Any other language is an asset.

Travel: Regular (international) travel is required to visit (potential) customers, attend conferences etc.
